Delete your ItCleanCare account
This page explains how to request deletion of your ItCleanCare account and the data we hold about you. It applies to the ItCleanCare Android app (package ng.itclean.care) and the web app at app.care.itclean.ng.
How to request deletion
- Email us from the address registered on your ItCleanCare account at support@itclean.care with the subject line ItCleanCare account deletion request.
- Include your registered email address and, if helpful, your full name so we can locate your account.
- We will verify that you own the account (usually by replying to your registered email) and confirm your request within 7 business days.
- Once verified, we delete your account and associated personal data as described below. We will email you when deletion is complete.
Data we delete
When your deletion request is processed, we remove:
- Your ItCleanCare account (authentication record)
- Profile information (name, phone, delivery address, preferences)
- Wardrobe items and catalog metadata you added
- Photos you uploaded (wardrobe images, profile avatar, payment receipts on Cloudinary)
- Push notification tokens and in-app notification history
- Support tickets and messages tied to your account
- Care Credit balance and subscription usage tied to your account
Data we may keep
Some records must be kept for legal, accounting, tax, or dispute-resolution purposes. After account deletion we may retain, in anonymised or minimised form where possible:
- Order history — service dates, items processed, and delivery details (up to 7 years for accounting and tax)
- Payment records — amounts, status, reference numbers, and verification notes (up to 7 years)
- Email send logs — delivery metadata without marketing content (up to 90 days)
- Security and audit logs — access events needed to investigate abuse (up to 12 months)
Retained data is not used for marketing and is accessible only to authorised staff on a need-to-know basis.
Processing time
We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email when your account has been removed. If we need more time, we will let you know.
Before you delete
Deletion is permanent. Download or save any information you need before requesting deletion. If you only want to stop using the service, you can sign out and uninstall the app without deleting your account.
